JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Charles M. Apperson, 25, of Jamestown, was charged May 3 with second-degree assault, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon. According to police, at about 4:30 p.m., officers responded to a southside address for a complaint of a person with a weapon. Through investigation, police said, it was discovered that Apperson allegedly was trying to give alcohol to juveniles in the area, and he was confronted by an adult male, and asked to stop. When Apperson was confronted, police said, he allegedly struck the victim with a glass beer bottle in the head causing physical injury. Apperson then fled the scene on foot, and after speaking with the victim, officers located Apperson, and placed him into custody. He was taken to Jamestown City Jail and will be in Jamestown City Court later.

— Devin M. Berg, 40, was charged May 1 with two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, third-degree assault, and criminal obstruction of breathing/blood flow. According to police, at about 9:47 a.m., officers responded to a westside address for a reported domestic incident. Following an investigation, it was determined that Berg allegedly choked and punched the victim. During the incident, police said, Berg allegedly took the victim’s phone while the victim attempted to call 911, and broke it. Berg was placed into custody without incident and taken to Jamestown City Jail. He will be in Jamestown City Court later.

– Corey R. Grzesiak, 29, of Jamestown, was charged May 2 with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal obstruction of breathing. According to police, at about 4:56 p.m., officers responded to a westside address for a reported past-tense domestic dispute. Through investigation, police said, it was determined that Grzesiak allegedly obstructed the normal breathing of his 11-year-old son by placing his hands around his son’s neck. Police said the incident occurred in the presence of Grzesiak’s five-year-old son. Grzesiak was placed into custody without incident, and taken to the city jail. He will be in city court later.

– Andre Taylor, 37, of Jamestown, was charged April 30 with endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal obstruction of breathing. According to police, at about 10 p.m., officers responded to the Eastside for a report of an in-progress physical domestic dispute. Through investigation, officers determined Taylor allegedly grabbed the victim’s neck, and also pushed the victim to the ground in the presence of a child during the dispute. Taylor was placed into custody without incident, and taken to the city jail. He will be in city court later.

– Michael L. Johnson, 28, of Jamestown, was charged May 3 with first-degree criminal contempt. According to police, at about 1:29 a.m., officers responded to a westside address for a report of a fight. Upon arrival, officers discovered that Johnson had shown up to the residence of a male, who has an order of protection against Johnson, and allegedly started a physical altercation with the male. Johnson was placed into custody without incident, and taken to the city jail. He will be in city court later.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Nicholas M. Lyons, 31, of Jamestown, was charged April 30 with petit larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, and third-degree identity theft. According to police, at about 5 p.m., Lyons appeared at the LWBP station to turn himself in on an active LWBP arrest warrant. He will be in Busti Town Court later.

– Alisha E. Eddy, 37, of Jamestown, was charged April 30 with petit larceny, criminal possession of stolen property, and third-degree identity theft. According to police, Eddy appeared at LWBP station to turn herself in on an active LWBP arrest warrant. She will be in town court later.

– Clinton C. Carter, 55, of Lakewood, was charged May 1 with fourth-degree criminal mischief. According to police, officers were dispatched to the area of East Fairmount Avenue for a vehicle complaint. After further investigation, it was discovered that a road age incident had occurred. Officers made contact with both parties involved, and based on investigation, police said, Carter allegedly punched and kicked a vehicle multiple times. Carter will be in town court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

– Mariah M Kristan Johnson, 26, of Dunkirk, was charged May 3 with driving while intoxicated, no/inadequate taillights, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. According to officials, at about 2:50 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the town of Sheridan. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Johnson, and further investigation found Johnson allegedly to be driving while intoxicated. Johnson will be in Sheridan Town Court later.

ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Angela M. Snow, 48, of Jamestown was charged April 30 with third-degree criminal trespass. According to police, officers responded to a trespass complaint, where it is alleged Snow was on the grounds of Falconer Central School while having no legitimate purpose to be there. Snow will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

– Jamie E. Norene, 50, of no permanent residence was charged April 30 with third-degree criminal trespass. According to police, officers responded to trespass complaint, where it is alleged Norene was on the grounds of Falconer Central School while having no legitimate purpose to be there. Norene will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

– Rose E. Raynor, 41, of Jamestown, was charged April 28 with petit larceny. According to police, at about 2 p.m., officers responded to a shoplifting complaint at a business in the town where it is alleged Raynor exited the store without paying for store-owned items. Raynor will be in town court later.

– Stephanie K. Derby, 45, of Jamestown was charged April 28 with petit larceny. According to police, at about 6:30 p.m., officers responded to a shoplifting complaint where it is alleged that Derby passed all points of sale with concealed merchandise. Derby will be in town court later.
