CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

– Jeremiah C.M. Warrior, 26, an inmate of the Chautauqua County Jail, was charged May 19 with second-degree reckless endangerment. According to officials, at about 4: 51 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division received a complaint taking place in the jail. It was alleged that an incarcerated individual in the trustee section allowed gas to dispense from the jail kitchen stovetops after extinguishing the pilot lights. A correction officer that oversees the jail kitchen trustees discovered the gas leaking from the stovetop several minutes later. Warrior was arraigned through the centralized arraignment process, and will be in Chautauqua Town Court later.

– Denise L. Richir, 47, of the town of Pomfret, was charged May 28 with third-degree criminal trespass. According to officials, at about 8:41 p.m., deputies responded to a reported trespass complaint in the town of Pomfret. Through investigation it was found that, 47-year-old, Denise L. Richir allegedly entered and remained unlawfully in a building. Richir was placed into custody, and taken to the county jail for centralized arraignment. She will be in Pomfret Town Court later.

– Michael G. Webber, 63, of Irving, was charged May 30 with driving while under the influence of drugs, and with having no seatbelt. According to officials, at about 11:56 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the town of Hanover for an operator not wearing a seatbelt. The operator was identified as Webber and was subsequently found to be allegedly driving while his ability was impaired by drugs. Webber was placed into custody and brought to the Sheriff’s Office Substation where he was later released. He will be in Hanover Town Court later.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Daniel M. Bair, 51, of Jamestown, was charged May 28 with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. According to police, at about 11:30 a.m., officers conducted a street check on Baird on North Main Street. Police said officers were aware that Baird had an active warrant through JPD. He was placed into custody without incident, and taken to Jamestown City Jail where he was found to be in alleged possession of a small quantity of methamphetamine. He will be in Jamestown City Court later.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

Andre T. Taylor, 37, of Jamestown, was charged May 29 with petit larceny. According to police, officers responded to Wal-Mart, 350 E. Fairmount Ave., for a reported shoplifting. Upon arrival, officers spoke with Wal-Mart Asset Protection who advised officers that the incident had occurred over the past week, by a Wal-Mart employee. It is alleged that Taylor was concealing items during work, and then placing them in a bag. Police said he would then exit the store passing all points of sale without an attempt to render payment. Taylor will be in Busti Town Court later.

TOWN OF CARROLL POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Louise Anderson, 51, of Frewsburg, was charged with fraudulently obtaining a signature. According to police, officers received an alleged fraud complaint, and after an ongoing investigation it was found that Anderson allegedly defrauded another person by obtaining a signature on a document by means of misrepresentation. Anderson will be in Carroll Town Court later.
