JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Paul R. Briggs, was charged June 3 with third-degree trespass. According to police, at about 9:30 a.m., officers responded to a Southside address for a reported trespass in progress. Upon arrival, police said, officers located Briggs inside the residence. Officers were advised that the address was condemned by the Jamestown Department of Development. Briggs was placed into custody, and taken to the Jamestown City Jail. He was released, and will be in Jamestown City Court later.
TOWN OF ELLICOTT POLICE
– Jonathan W. Fields, 36 , of Jamestown, was charged June 3 with driving while ability impaired by drugs, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, and other vehicle and traffic violations. According to police, at about 11:03 a.m., officers conducted a vehicle and traffic stop after observing a traffic violation, where it is alleged Fields was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of a drug. Fields was released with traffic tickets, and will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Bobbiejo Ostrom, 28, temporarily unhoused, was charged June 2 with endangering the welfare of a child. According to police, officers responded to a suspicious situation, where it is alleged Ostrom abandoned her special needs child for months with no set time or action to retrieve the child. Police said the adult the child was left with had no specialty training to care for a special needs child and was not a biological parent or guardian. Ostrom was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment, and will be in town court later.
– Todd A. Guynn, 55 , of Falconer was charged June 2 with disorderly conduct. According to police, officers responded to a report of a disorderly person on May 11, where it is alleged Guynn was standing in traffic and obstructing the flow of traffic. Guynn was issued an appearance ticket and will be in town court later.
– Manuel A. Fernandez, 42 , of Jamestown was charged May 28 with petit larceny. According to police, at about 1:30 p.m., officers responded to a past tense shoplifter at Aldi, 930 Fairmount Ave., where it is alleged Fernandez took various items and left past the point of sale without purchase. Fernandez was issued an appearance ticket and will be in town court later.
– Bobbiejo Ostrom, 28, temporarily unhoused, was charged June 2 with second-degree aggravated harassment. According to police, officers responded to an aggravated harassment complaint prior to June 2, where it is alleged Ostrom threatened the victim over the phone and called several times throughout the day for no legitimate purpose. Ostrom was taken to the county jail for a centralized arraignment, and will be in town court later.
– Tammy M. Claydon, 50 , of Falconer was charged May 27 with endangering the welfare of a child. According to police, officers responded to a complaint made through the New York State mandated reporter child abuse hotline where a law enforcement referral was completed. It is alleged Claydon did not provide any supervision while persons under 17 were in possession and using a projectile BB gun. Police said, two juveniles allegedly were struck with projectiles from the BB gun on two separate occasions and damage allegedly was done to a residence on a different occasion. Claydon was issued an appearance ticket, and will be in town court later.
– Joshua A. Ryan, 37, of Jamestown, was charged May 26 with two counts of petit larceny. According to police, at about 3 p.m., officers responded to shoplifting in progress, where it is alleged Ryan exited the store without paying for store merchandise. He was issued an appearance ticket, and will be in town court later.
– Steven J. Seavy, 35, of Brocton, was charged May 27 with DWAI, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, and other vehicle and traffic violations. According to police, at about 2 p.m., officers conducted a vehicle and traffic stop on a vehicle after observing multiple vehicle and traffic violations, where it is alleged Seavy was operating a motor vehicle under the influence of drugs. Seavy, police said, also was found to be in alleged possession of drug paraphernalia and a scale. He was released, and will be in town court later.
