CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

– Christopher R. Firkins, 49, of Cherry Creek, was charged June 4 with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, and speeding. According to officials, at about 11:54 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Route 83 in the town of Cherry Creek. The operator was identified as Firkins, and further investigation found Firkins allegedly to be driving while intoxicated. He was placed into custody, and will be in Cherry Creek Town Court later.

– Edward F. Thuman, 42, of Silver Creek, was charged June 4 with second-degree harassment, and fourth-degree criminal mischief. According to officials, at about 1:26 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a past tense altercation that had occurred in Silver Creek. It was reported that Thuman had allegedly damaged property of another individual and had allegedly struck the individual. After further investigation Thuman was located and placed into custody. He was taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. He will be in Hanover Town Court later.

TOWN OF CARROLL POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Crystal Vogt, 39, of Jamestown, was charged June 2 with seven counts of endangering the welfare of a child. According to police, at about 4:40 p.m., officers received a report of a suspicious situation in the area of Venman Street. After an investigation it was found that Vogt allegedly transported several juveniles from Jamestown to Frewsburg where more juveniles were present watching two other juveniles engaging in a physical altercation. She was given an appearance ticket and will be in Carroll Town Court later.
