JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
– Adam J. Garbrandt, 22, of Jamestown, was charged June 11 with third-degree criminal mischief, and second-degree assault. According to police, at about 7:32 a.m., officers responded to a downtown establishment for a reported disorderly person complaint. Officers, police said, were advised that a male allegedly had broken out a window at the establishment, and left the scene. Officers were able to locate Garbrandt a short distance away, and he was placed into custody. While officers were waiting for EMS personnel to respond to evaluate Garbrandt, he allegedly kicked an officer in the leg, causing injury to the officer. Garbrandt was taken to Jamestown City Jail, and will be in Jamestown City Court later.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
– Dan R. Swabik, 68, of the town of Harmony, was charged June 10 with felony driving while intoxicated, having an open container inside a motor vehicle, having no/inadequate tail lamps, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. According to officials, at about 10:08 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop near West Summit Street and Fairmount Avenue in the Village of Lakewood. The operator was identified as Swabik, further investigation found Swabik allegedly to be driving while intoxicated. Swabik was placed into custody. He will be in Busti Town Court later.
