CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
— PORTLAND — At approximately 6:37 a.m. Saturday, deputies responded to an address for a report of an unwanted male who was letting horses loose from their pasture.
Upon arrival, Jacob H. Tye, 39, of Brocton, was identified as the suspect and was taken into custody. Through further investigation, it was found that Tye did arrive at the property and unlawfully entered a building. While inside, Tye is alleged to have removed a bandage from a horse, and released horses from pasture.
He was transported to the Chautauqua County Jail and was charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal tampering, reckless endangerment of property, petit larceny, and overdriving, torturing, and injuring animals. Tye will be arraigned at the centralized arraignment program and will be in the Town of Portland court at a later date.
— CARROLL — On Saturday, deputies from the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address for a reported past tense aggravated harassment complaint. Through investigation it was found that 32-year-old, Dakota J. Fellion did threaten to cause physical harm to another via direct message. Dakota was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for CAP Arraignment for the alleged charge.
— PORTLAND — At approximately 12:24 p.m. Saturday, Deputies of the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to a suspicious person call on Lake Avenue. Upon arrival, Deputies gathered information that a door on a building was damaged and entry was made.
A short time later, deputies located two individuals hiding in weeds near the building. The individuals were identified as Stephanie L. Dean, 36, of Nunda, and Jeremy P Eastman, 40, of Mount Morris. Through further investigation, it was determined that Stephanie and Jeremey did force entry into the building and steal multiple items. Dean and Eastman were taking into custody and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for CAP arraignment. Both were charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny.
