JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Wilfredo Castrillo, 49, of Jamestown, was charged June 20 with second-degree burglary, aggravated criminal contempt, first-degree criminal contempt, and two counts of third-degree criminal tampering. According to police, at about 5:30 p.m., officers responded to a reported domestic dispute on the east side. Upon investigation it was discovered that Castrillo allegedly violated an order of protection by entering the victim’s residence unlawfully. Additionally, police said, it was found that Castrillo allegedly had tampered with the victim’s property causing substantial inconvenience to the victim. He was placed into custody, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. He will be in Jamestown City Court later.

– Justin H. Myers, 36, of Jamestown, was charged June 20 with second-degree harassment, and two counts of first-degree criminal contempt. According to police, at about 11:02 p.m., officers responded to a reported domestic dispute at an Eastside address. Upon investigation, it was discovered Myers allegedly violated an order of protection by threatening the victim. He was placed into custody, and taken to the city jail. Myers will be in city court later.

– Robert D. Pearson, 52, of Jamestown, was charged June 21 with second-degree menacing, third-degree criminal mischief, third-degree criminal tampering, and resisting arrest. According to police, at about 5:26 p.m., officers responded to a report of a disorderly person inside UPMC. Upon arrival, officers were met with Pearson, who, police said, was combative. Through investigation, it was found that Pearson allegedly had damaged hospital property, threatened staff members, and caused them a substantial inconvenience. After a brief struggle, Pearson was placed into custody, and taken to the city jail. He will be in city court later.

– Cynthia I. Babicz, 60, was charged June 21 with two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, and resisting arrest. According to police, at about 12:15 a.m., officers responded to a westside address for an in-progress domestic dispute. After investigation, officers determined that Babicz had engaged in a verbal dispute with the victim. The victim, police said, attempted to call police for help as Babicz allegedly grabbed the victim’s cell phone and threw it, damaging the screen protector. When officers, police said, advised her that she was under arrest, she allegedly attempted to pull away from officers. She was placed into custody, and taken to the city jail. She will be in city court later.

– Taylor W. Knight, 35, of Jamestown, was charged June 22 with DWI, aggravated DWI, unlicensed operation, and making an improper turn. According to police, at about 12:12 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on the north side. Further investigation determined the operator, Knight, was allegedly driving while intoxicated with a blood-alcohol level more than twice the legal limit. He was placed into custody, and taken to the city jail. Knight, police said, was released to a sober party, and he will be in city court later.

– Kimberly R. Mazzone, 43, of Jamestown, was charged June 21 with driving while ability impaired by drugs, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. According to police, at about 3:39 a.m., officers observed a vehicle running with the driver slumped over the steering wheel. Upon investigation, police said, it was determined that the driver, Mazzone, allegedly was operating the vehicle under the influence of drugs. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed an alleged small quantity of methamphetamine. She was placed into custody without incident, and taken to the city jail. Mazzone will be in city court later.

LAKEWOOD-BUSTI POLICE DEPARTMENT

– James D. Blakenship, 38, of Lakewood, was charged June 16 with resisting arrest, second-degree obstructing governmental administration. Second-degree burglary, and petit larceny. According to police, at about 4:41 p.m., an officer was on patrol on East Fairmount Avenue when the officer observed a person that he knew had an outstanding warrant out of the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department. While approaching Blakenship, he led officers on a foot pursuit through a wooded area, and allegedly burglarized a by allegedly stealing a bike in order to elude pursuing patrol. Blakenship, police said, was very disorderly, and allegedly was actively resisting leading officers to use a Taser on him. Upon further investigation, it was found that Blakenskip allegedly ingested about 3.5 grams of methamphetamine in order to destroy evidence. He was placed into custody, then taken to the hospital for evaluation, and then taken to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. He will be in Busti Town Court later. Officers were assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department, Lakewood EMS, and the New York State Police.

TOWN OF ELLICOTT POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Melissa E. Sweeney, 53, of Celoron, was charged June 4 with driving while ability impaired by drugs and numerous other traffic violations. According to police, at about 9:18 a.m., officers conducted a vehicle and traffic stop after observing numerous traffic violations, where it is alleged Sweeney was operating a vehicle while under the influence of a drug. Sweeney was issued traffic tickets and transported to the county Jail for centralized arraignment. She will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

– Brandon C. Taylor, 44, of Falconer, was charged June 10 with felony DWAI, and other traffic violations. According to police, at about 12:30 p.m., officers conducted a vehicle and traffic stop after observing traffic violations, where it is alleged Taylor was operating the vehicle under the influence of a drug. Taylor has a previous DWI conviction in the last 10 years. Taylor was issued traffic tickets and released. He will be in town court later.

– Jacob R. Neckers, 38, of Celoron, was charged June 12 with DWAI, second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia, and traffic violations. According to police, at about 12:24 p.m., officers conducted a vehicle and traffic stop after observing a traffic violation, where it is alleged Neckers was operating the vehicle while under the influence of drugs. Neckers also allegedly had a scale with suspected narcotics and other drug paraphernalia in his possession. Neckers was issued traffic tickets and an appearance ticket. He will be in town court later.

– Amanda S. Pollaro, 41, of Jamestown was charged June 12 with petit larceny, and endangering the welfare of a child. According to police, officers responded to Wegmans, 945 Fairmount Ave., for a shoplifting complaint, where it is alleged Pollaro walked past the point of purchase without paying for items, all while in front of a juvenile. Pollaro was issued an appearance ticket, and will be in town court later.

– Brooke M. Soldano, 24, of Jamestown, was charged June 12 with petit larceny. According to police, at about 9:29 p.m., officers responded to a Larceny complaint at Target, 975 Fairmount Ave., where it is alleged Soldano passed all points of sale with concealed merchandise. Soldano was placed into custody and processed at EPD where she was later released with an appearance ticket. She will be in town court later.

– Tammi L. Howard, 51, of Falconer was charged June with third-degree assault. According to police, officers responded to a past tense domestic incident, where it is alleged Howard struck the victim causing injury. Howard will be in town court later.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

– Joshua R. Hopkins, 42, of Buffalo, was charged June 17 with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, and second-degree criminal impersonation, and Tiffany A. Atkisson, 38, of Buffalo, was charged with second-degree criminal personation. According to officials, at about 4:44 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Jamestown. Through investigation it was found both the driver, and a passenger allegedly gave names belonging to other individuals. Deputies were able to identify the driver as Hopkins, and the passenger to be Atkisson. They were later released with appearance tickets, and will be in Jamestown City Court later.

– Brian D. DiLorenzo Jr., 28, of Dunkirk, was charged June 20, with driving while intoxicated, and inadequate lights. According to officials, at about 1:53 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the town of Pomfret. The driver was identified as DiLorenzo Jr. Through further investigation it was found that DiLorenzo allegedly was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. DiLorenzo was later released , and will appear in Pomfret Town Court later.

– Nicholas L. Dean, 45, of Lakewood, was charged June 19, with aggravated DWI-child in vehicle, DWI, DWI per se, and speeding. According to officials, at about 8:57 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the town of North Harmony. The operator was identified as Dean, and further investigation found Dean to be allegedly driving while intoxicated. During this alleged incident there were two children under the ages of 16 in the vehicle. Dean will be in North Harmony Town Court later.

– Kimberly B. Sturm, 49, of North Bellmore, was charged June 19 with DWI, aggravated DWI, consumption/alcohol in a motor vehicle, and moving from lane unsafely. According to police officials, at about 10:55 p.m.,deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate-86 in the town of North Harmony. The operator was identified as Sturm, and further investigation found Sturm allegedly to be driving while intoxicated. She will be in North Harmony Town Court later.

– William C. Lyman, 22, of Chesterland, Ohio, was charged June 21 with DWI, DWI per se, and speeding. According to officials, at about 2:01 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Route 430 in Bemus Point. The operator was identified as Lyman. Further investigation found Lyman to be allegedly driving while intoxicated. He will be in Ellery Town Court later.

– Trenton Kendall, 19, of Sinclairville, was charged June 19 with DWI, DWI per se, operating after consumption/alcohol, and speeding. According to officials, at about 1:48 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the town of Stockton. The operator was identified as Kendall, Further investigation found Kendall allegedly to be driving while intoxicated. He was placed into custody, and will be in Stockton Town Court later.
