JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Neris F. Dejesus Torres, 34, of Jamestown, was charged June 22 with aggravated driving while intoxicated, and DWI per se. According to police, at about 2:21 a.m., officers responded to a report of a property damage accident near Falconer and Buffalo streets. Upon investigation, police said, it was determined that the driver of one of the vehicles, Torres, allegedly was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was placed into custody without incident, and taken to Jamestown City Jail. He will be in Jamestown City Court later.

– Cordell D. Wheeler, 31, of Randolph, was charged June 23 with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. According to police, at about 12:22 a.m., officers were on patrol on the south side when they observed a vehicle being operated by an individual known to have a suspended New York State driver’s licence. Officers conducted a traffic stop and identified the driver as Wheeler. During the investigation, police said, officers discovered that Wheeler was in alleged possession of a quantity of methamphetamine. Wheeler was placed into custody without incident, and taken to the city jail. He will be in City court later.

– Gabriel A. Harrison, 49, of Jamestown, was charged June 16 with driving while ability impaired by drugs. According to police, at about 2:42 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at Willard and Allen streets due to an observed traffic violation. During the investigation, it was determined that Harrison allegedly was operating the vehicle under the influence of a drug. Harrison was placed into custody without incident, and taken to the city jail. He will be in city court later.
