JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Michael S. Cook, 53, of Jamestown was charged with first-degree criminal contempt at 2:49 a.m. Tuesday after officers conducted a street check on Michael S. Cook and another individual. They were located behind a business on the east side of Jamestown. Upon investigation it was determined there is a valid stay-away order of protection for Cook to stay away from the other person. Cook was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned. Police report that due to a prior conviction, Cook’s charge was upgraded to first-degree criminal contempt.
– Gary L. Didomenico,70, was charged with DWAI drugs and unsafe backing at 10:55 p.m. Oct. 2 after officers responded to a single-vehicle traffic accident near Community Bank in Brooklyn Square. It was reported that a pick up truck had backed into a generator on the property and was attempting to leave the scene. Further investigation found that Didomenico was allegedly operating the motor vehicle while his ability was impaired by drugs. Didomenico was released on an appearance ticket to be in court later.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE
– MAYVILLE – Ryan J. Lawliss, 40, of Ontario, N.Y., was charged with petit larceny at 11:14 a.m. Monday after deputies responded to a Mayville convenience store for a reported shoplifting. Lawliss was charged and issued an appearance ticket to be in Chautauqua Town Court later.
