CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT

-- STOCKTON - Around 3:45 p.m. Saturday, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Route 380 near Munger Road. The operator was identified as Peter G. McTaggart Jr., 35 of Jamestown. Through an investigation it was discovered that McTaggart was in violation of a duly served court order out of the city of Jamestown. He was later charged with second-degree criminal contempt and transported to Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

-- Patrick O. Brady, 26, of Jamestown, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny, fourth-degree criminal mischief, second-degree unlawful imprisonment and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

At around 5:05 p.m. Friday, officers responded to a residence on the South side of Jamestown for the report of a domestic incident. Upon officers arrival, Brady had already left the scene. He had taken the victim’s cell phone before leaving.

Officers responded back to the residence at around 5:37 p.m. and Brady was taken into custody. Further investigation revealed Brady damaged the victim’s Ipad and would not

allow the victim to leave the residence. The incident occurred in front of two small children. He was transported to the city jail where he was held pending arraignment.

-- Matthew P. Miles, 32, of Ohio, was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, driving while ability impaired by drugs and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation.

At around 8:53 p.m. Sept. 30, officers were dispatched to an area on the north side of the city to check on a male slumped over the wheel of a running vehicle. On arrival, officers located Miles sleeping in the driver’s seat. Miles was found to have an active arrest warrant through Jamestown Police Department.

Upon further investigation, officers located a quantity of methamphetamine and fentanyl inside of the vehicle. Miles was also determined to be operating the motor vehicle while impaired by drugs. He was taken into custody, arraigned and later released.
