JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT - Richard A. Goodman III, 40, of Jamestown, was charged with resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. According to police, at about 10:16 a.m., officers responded to a downtown business for a report of an unwanted male. It was determined that Goodman allegedly refused to leave, and was screaming in the lobby. Officers attempted to escort Goodman off the property, and at that point, he allegedly became combative. A Dunkirk man is facing multiple vehicle and traffic violations after leading police on a pursuit while driving an all-terrain vehicle. Around 7:12 p.m. March 29, a Dunkirk police officer observed an ATV recklessly and illegally operating on a public highway in the area of Lake Shore Drive East. Officers attempted to stop the ATV, however, the operator failed to comply, leading officers on a pursuit. John Peterson, 42, of Jamestown was arrested and charged by criminal complaint with distribution and possession of child pornography by a person with a prior child pornography conviction, which carries a mandatory minimum penalty of 15 years in prison, a maximum of 40 years, and a $250,000 fine.
