Third annual Bike Day event set for June 14

LAKEWOOD – The 3rd annual AmTryke Bike Day event will be held June 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Chautauqua Mall in Lakewood.

An AmTryke Bike Day is an event where adults and children with disabilities and their families are invited to learn about AMBUCS and the AmTryke Therapeutic Tricycle program. Free evaluations are provided by appropriate therapists. If funding support is needed, riders can then be placed on a Wish List to receive their own AmTryke.

This event is free and open to the public. Area residents with disabilities along with their friends and family are specifically invited to try out evaluation trykes. The Greater Chautauqua Area AMBUCS is looking for riders for the event. If you know someone who could benefit from a therapeutic tryke, call 338-1011 or e-mail elbo@stny.rr.com (Ellen Bobst, Secretary/Treasurer) to set up an evaluation time.
