WNY Outlaws opens new gym in Dunkirk

The WNY Outlaws All-Star Cheerleaders’ Chau-tauqua County team is proud to announce the opening of its new facility at 87 Lake Shore Drive (Route 5), in Dunkirk.

The gym, located in the former Larry Spacc building, will be fully equipped with a spring floor and tumble track as well as a parents waiting area overlooking the practice floor.

The Outlaws will offer cheerleading, tumbling and hip-hop classes and workshops and the new space will be the practice site for its competitive All-Star cheerleading teams.

The local Outlaws team is one of the three gyms owned by the parent company founded in Clarence Center in 2000. One of the oldest All-Star cheerleading organizations in Western New York, the WNY Outlaws All-Star cheerleaders have represented the area at local, national and worldwide levels; most recently at the 2014 World Championships held in April in Orlando, Fla. The Chautauqua County team had a successful inaugural season which included several first place finishes. Coaches Lindsey Luther and Shelli Pryll stated that they are very excited about their affiliation with such an eminent organization.

“We are fortunate to be able to offer such a quality experience to cheerleaders in this area,” Luther said.

“The level of skill and experience that the Outlaws provide far exceeds any other program around,” added Pryll.

The gym will be open for registrations on Wednesday, June 18 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and on Thursday, June 19 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Teams are available for all cheerleaders (boys or girls) ages 3 and up, regardless of experience. A registration fee of $50, used to cover the cost of insurance and practice wear, is required. For more information call 716-410-5461 or email WNYOutlawsWest@ymail.com.
