Job Corps announces two promotions
CASSADAGA – The Cassadaga Job Corps Academy is happy to announce the recent promotions of two long time employees at the Academy. Richard Chase will now be filling the role of safety and security manager and Ken Dahlin will be taking on the role of academy standards and incentives officer.
Both play a significant role on campus, impacting center culture and ensuring a safe environment in which students will live, learn and thrive.
Academy Director Ann Anderson commented, “Both of these highly qualified professionals bring years of Job Corps experience into their roles. More importantly, both Ken and Richard have proven they have the ability to connect with our staff and students in a way that has a positive impact. I am excited and looking forward to working with both of them in their new roles.”
Chase has been employed by Job Corps since 2003 and has previously worked as a residential advisor, residential coordinator and academy standards and incentives officer. In his new role he is responsible for day-to-day management of the safety and security department, compliance with federal, state and local safety and health codes and to ensure the campus is adhering to Job Corps safety and security policies.
Chase stated, “I look forward to the opportunity to continue to impact and improve the center and our students. The best part of working at Job Corps is the relationship and positive impact we have on the young people we work with.”
Chase resides in Westfield with his wife, Leah.
Dahlin is stepping into the role of ASIO after working two years as the ASIO assistant. He has worked at Cassadaga Job Corps since 1999, and previously worked as a safety and security officer, residential advisor and duty officer. In his new role he is responsible for oversight of the academy’s behavior management system, student incentives and enforcement of the Job Corps Zero Tolerance Policy.
Dahlin said, “I really appreciate the organizational mission of helping young people succeed and being faced with complex problems and the challenge to find creative solutions.”
Dahlin resides in Bear Lake with his wife Ann and two children.
