BUFFALO — HEALTHeLINK announced Brooks Memorial Hospital’s Pain Management Center has recently begun participating in western New York’s clinical information exchange.

Approximately 5,000 physicians, all of the area hospitals and many independent laboratory and radiology practices are currently connected to HEALTHeLINK with a goal of improving the quality of care, enhancing patient safety and reducing health care costs. With patient consent, participating physicians can securely and electronically access clinical information on the patients they are treating at the point of care.

More than 860,000 Western New Yorkers have signed a consent form to provide treating medical professionals with this access through HEALTHeLINK. Ask your physician for a copy or download one at HEALTHeLINK’s website.
