Yerico joins health education board

Western New York Rural Area Health Education Center (R-AHEC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Nicholas H. Apostoleris, PhD MBA and Ms. Tiffany Yerico to its 17-seat Board of Directors.

Apostoleris serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Tri-County Family Medicine Program in Dansville. In his role, Apostoleris oversees five primary care offices in Livingston County and the adjacent sections of Steuben and Allegany counties. Additionally, Apostoleris is a licensed Clinical Psychologist.

Ms. Yerico serves as Local Economic Development Coordinator for the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation in Dunkirk, New York. In her role, Ms. Yerico works to implement the Local Economic Development Initiative in the Northern Chautauqua region by providing opportunities for investment and employment of its diverse labor force.

R-AHEC Board of Directors held their annual meeting at the R-AHEC office in Warsaw, New York on May 16. The R-AHEC Board of Directors includes seats from its 12 county catchment area of: Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Orleans, Steuben, Wayne, Wyoming, and Yates. Directors are appointed for three year terms.

Ms. Betty Lapp, Board President, states “The appointment of these highly experienced professionals will add to the strength of the organization and the board, improving our ability to accomplish our mission to improve health and healthcare through education.”
