JAMESTOWN — Following an expansive outreach and interview process, the County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency is pleased and excited to announce that Ms. Linda Burns has joined their team to fill the position of business development manager that was vacated as a result of Lawrie Taylor’s recent retirement. Ms. Burns, who started on August 20th, will provide business development assistance to clients throughout the county, and will be based in the BWB Center in Jamestown.

Ms. Burns, a local resident, has a very impressive background, having spent many years in mortgage lending, commercial real estate sales, establishing local branch offices, and loan origination. She has also been active in the Jamestown YWCA, the Rotary Club of Jamestown, and the United Way of Southern Chautauqua County. Linda is a graduate of JCC, and received further training/education from Queens College, Florida International University, and Centenary College.

“I couldn’t be more pleased to have the opportunity to welcome an individual of Ms. Burns’ caliber to our team,” explained Mark Geise, Chief Executive Officer of the CCIDA. “I am confident that the CCIDA and the County will benefit considerably from this decision, and I look forward to continuing to improve upon our service offerings and how we deliver those services.”
