Diane Hewitt-Johnson CEO of COI

The Board of Directors of Chautauqua Opportunities, Inc. is pleased to announce the permanent appointment of Diane Hewitt-Johnson as the agency’s Chief Executive Officer. She has served the agency as Interim CEO since September 2018.

“Ms. Hewitt-Johnson has served in several managerial capacities at COI, and has been a key player in furthering the mission of the agency. The Board of Directors believes that her knowledge, of both business and human service, will be an invaluable asset to the organization in a rapidly changing service delivery environment. We are grateful that she has agreed to assume the duties of Chief Executive Officer and look forward to working with Diane in her new role.” states Marie Carrubba, Board Chairperson.

Hewitt-Johnson began her career with the agency in 2003 as the Director of Economic Development for Chautauqua Opportunities for Development, Inc. She led the Health Services Division at COI for nine years, before being appointed Director of Operations in early 2018.

She has extensive knowledge in program development and oversight, having been responsible for the administration, management, supervision, planning and coordination of all health services for the agency, including licensed home care services and support services such as health insurance enrollment and services for caregivers of Alzheimer’s patients. Her experience also includes one year as the Chief Executive Officer of Tanglewood Manor, Inc.’s Adult Care Facility and Assisted Living Program.

Hewitt-Johnson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from Houghton College and a Master of Science in Strategic Leadership from Roberts Wesleyan College, where she also received the Distinguished Leadership Award. She completed an Associate’s in Applied Science degree in Business Administration at Jamestown Community College. She resides in Jamestown and has owned a small business there since 2003.
