SHERIDAN — Liberty Vineyards & Winery of Sheridan won 12 prestigious medals at the recent 2019 Indy International Wine Competition. The awards included Best of Class honors for their White Chocolette wine.

“The award-winning wines represent many of the different styles of wines we make here at the winery, from sweet whites to dry reds. We know that everyone’s taste is different, so we make wines for every palate,” explained Pam Burmaster, who owns the winery with her husband, Gary.

In addition to the Best of Class award for White Chocolette (a chocolate-flavored white dessert wine), other awards include gold medals for Lucy’s in the Sky (sweet rose) and White Side of the Moon (sweet white). Barrel-Select Cabernet (dry red) and Reds, Whites & Blues (sweet rose) both earned silver medals. Bronze medals were awarded to Purple Haze (sweet red), Diamond (semi-sweet white), Fredonia (semi-sweet red), Rose of Marquette (dry rose), 2017 Barrel-Select Noiret (dry red) and 2017 Pinot Noir (dry red).
