Healthy Community Alliance boosts service area

GOWANDA — Healthy Community Alliance, Inc. was recently awarded a grant from state Department of Health to assist Cattaraugus and Chautauqua county residents with accessing health insurance in the state of Health Marketplace. Healthy Community Alliance had been the state of Health Navigator Agency for Cattaraugus County for the past five years and has now been awarded renewed funding to expand its services to include Chautauqua County.

The grant funds Navigators who can help individuals and families enroll in health insurance, including Child Health Plus, Medicaid, and Qualified Health Plans. Healthy Community Alliance offers free in person assistance in filling out the online application. Individuals and families could qualify for free coverage or reduced premiums.

Health Insurance Navigators are already scheduling free appointments at the Gowanda, Olean and Jamestown locations, as well as multiple other locations across Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties.
