Dr. Mojdeh Kappus joined General Physician, PC. Dr. Kappus is a surgeon who focuses on gastrointestinal issues. She is based in General Physician’s Dunkirk surgical center.

Dr. Kappus has expertise treating many complex skin, soft tissue, and gastrointestinal issues including: gall bladder disease, colorectal disease, hernias, skin lesions, breast disease, and appendicitis.

She is specially trained in endoscopic and minimally invasive surgical procedures. She also specializes in bariatric surgery. She has worked with many patients to achieve their weight-loss goals through gastric bypass surgery and through the surgical implementation of a weight loss “sleeve.”

“My passion and expertise are in bariatric (weight loss) surgery,” she said. “I work with each patient to develop a plan that is right for them and helps them achieve their health goals in a safe, effective way.”

Dr. Kappus earned her undergraduate degree at Harvard and her medical degree from the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.

She joins more than 240 providers caring for patients in more than 60 General Physician offices across Western New York and Northern Pennsylvania.
