Villaggio sets grand opening for today

SILVER CREEK — Villaggio Italiano Pizza & Pasta, the newest full-service restaurant in northern Chautauqua County, will have its official grand opening at 5 p.m. today. The Hanover Chamber of Commerce as well as the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce will be on hand for a ribbon-cutting ceremony along with elected officials and members of the community.

The restaurant located at 278 Central Ave. in the village of Silver Creek opened in December with a 44-seat dining room that features classic Italian-American food along with other favorites like salads, sandwiches and chicken wings. In addition to dining-in, Villaggio Italiano also offers its full menu for takeout every day along with delivery on weekends.

The opening of this new casual dining spot marks the return of a full-service, sit down restaurant to the village of Silver Creek for the first time in decades. It is owned and operated by the hospitality team from the Sunset Bay Beach family of companies, which includes Cabana Sam’s Sunset Bay Grill, the Sunset Bay Deli and the Sunset Bay Beach Club.

“We are very proud to bring a new business to Silver Creek. The restaurant’s decor is designed to pay homage to the village’s history and its Italian-American heritage.” said operating partner Kelly Borrello.

Chef Kyle Halstrom has nearly 20 years of experience in foodservice and is excited to bring his expertise to this new concept. “We offer our unique take on pizza and traditional Italian-American dishes along with a few of our Sunset Bay favorites.” Halstrom said. “Our pizza and pasta sauces are all house-made from scratch as are most of the items on the menu.”

Villaggio Italiano offers a wide variety of choices at family-friendly prices. The restaurant is open Monday from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday; 3 to 9 p.m. and Thursday to Saturday 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday hours are 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
