Filmmaker to speak at luncheon

Gregory Lamberson

The Fredonia Technology Incubator continues its Arts and Business Luncheon series with a discussion led by filmmaker and author Gregory Lamberson.

During the event, Lamberson will discuss the business side of film production from the view of producers and investors, as well as the New York State Film Production tax credit.

“This series provides a unique insight on the relationship between arts and business,” said Chuck Cornell, incubator director. “I’m thrilled that Greg, an award winning filmmaker and author, has set aside some time to share his experience with us.”

The event will take place via Zoom on Thursday, April 29, from noon to 1 p.m. The event is free and open to the pubic and guests are encouraged to register on the incubator website and social media pages. For more information, call 680-6009 or email incubatr@fredonia.edu.

Lamberson is an award-winning author and filmmaker who has worked on independent films since 1984. Lamberson was raised in Fredonia and graduated from Fredonia High School. He lives in Buffalo with his wife and daughter. He has directed eight feature films, with his most recent being Widow’s Point. Garnering attention from Variety Magazine and Entertainment Weekly, the film was shot at the Dunkirk Historical Lighthouse on Lake Erie. Lamberson is currently working on his latest project, ‘Guns of Eden’, which is in pre-production for a mid-July start date.
