Tina Brockway was named the recipient of The Resource Center’s agency-wide staff appreciation award for the fourth quarter of 2020.

Brockway, administrative assistant in TRC’s maintenance department office on Jackson Avenue in Celoron, was cited for the way she handles her job as the primary contact person in the department. She was nominated for the award by Jason Basile, director of facilities management.

“Business at Jackson flows through Tina most days, and she remains cool, calm, collected, and pleasant to each person who calls,” Basile wrote in his nomination. “She is patient with the maintenance specialists and is able to find a functional solution by using the channels she has, wisely and effectively.”

During a small celebration held to honor Brockway, Basile reiterated her importance.

“Tina is the core of Jackson,” he said. “Without her, we can’t be the well-oiled machine we are.”

Denise Jones, TRC’s executive director, noted Brockway’s critical role in the upkeep of TRC’s facilities. Jones also thanked Brockway for supporting maintenance staff in understanding the recent technological changes that have occurred in the department.

For receiving the quarterly staff appreciation honor, Brockway was given a gift bag, a certificate and a monetary award.
