Magdalena “Margie” Dye

Magdalena “Margie” Dye, a 21-year veteran of the Western New York banking industry, has joined Cattaraugus County Bank as assistant vice president – business development and lending officer.

In her new role, Dye will be responsible for residential loan origination as well as helping to expand relationships with individuals and businesses across Cattaraugus and Chautauqua counties.

Dye is a familiar presence to banking customers across the Northern Chautauqua region. Most recently, Dye served as Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager of the Dunkirk Office of Lakeshore Savings Bank where she supported the lending, business development, and management functions. Critical to serving CCB’s diverse client base, Dye is also one of the few bilingual bankers in the Dunkirk/Fredonia area, which allows her to better support the Spanish-speaking community.

Dye was born and raised in Dunkirk and her family was very devoted to the region. In fact, her adoptive father was a navy veteran and was the Lighthouse Keeper of the Dunkirk Lighthouse and Veterans Museum. Dye is married to Charles Dye Jr. and they have two adult sons and three dogs.

Dye remains active with several local non-profit organizations, including: Boys & Girls Club of NCC; Chautauqua Youth Chorus; The Waterfront Foundation; and the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation.
