The CHQ Chamber has recently moved its office in Dunkirk into the SUNY Fredonia Center for Innovation & Economic Development (CIED) at 214 Central Avenue. The Chamber office will be in Suite 139.
“We are very pleased to be located in this great space in downtown Dunkirk,” noted CHQ Chamber President and CEO Daniel Heitzenrater. “This office is not only conveniently located for our members, but also adjacent to many of our partner organizations including offices for the County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency and the Chautauqua County Partnership for Economic Growth.”
He added, “We are grateful to the State University of New York at Fredonia, Dr. Stephen Kolison, and his team at CIED for working with us on this beneficial arrangement.”
“SUNY Fredonia is proud to welcome the CHQ Chamber to the Center for Innovation and Economic Development,” said SUNY Fredonia President Stephen H. Kolison Jr. “This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to strengthening the local economy and expanding opportunities for businesses and residents throughout Chautauqua County.”
Formerly known as the SUNY Fredonia Technology Incubator, the CIED was designed to be a launchpad for entrepreneurs and small businesses.
“This is a place for entrepreneurs,” Heitzenrater said, “and that aligns perfectly with the mission of the CHQ Chamber to build vital connections, provide professional resources, and champion our local businesses. Being in the heart of downtown Dunkirk is also important as we work to further improve our relationships with businesses and organizations of all types and sizes.”
The CHQ Chamber was formerly located in the Jamestown Community College Training Center in Dunkirk, which was recently sold. “We remain grateful to JCC for the hospitality over many years and continue to be a partner with them,” Heitzenrater noted.
The CHQ Chamber office in Dunkirk will be open 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, from Nov. 17-Dec. 19 (closed Thanksgiving and the day after) and available for ShopLocalCHQ Gift Card sales for the holiday season. Some hours may vary due to Chamber events.
