Bahgat & Laurito-Bahgat, CPAs, P.C., a Fredonia-based accounting firm, has joined Doeren Mayhew, a top assurance, tax and advisory firm, effective Jan. 20.

Co-founded in 1993 by Sham Dean Bahgat and Louann Laurito-Bahgat, BLB CPAs has grown to be one of Chautauqua County’s largest CPA firms by building a strong reputation for delivering trusted, relationship-driven accounting and advisory services to businesses, individuals, nonprofits, school districts and municipalities across Western New York.

BLB CPAs is joining forces with Doeren Mayhew’s Rochester office as a result of its recent acquisition of CPA firm 1RDG. Together, the firms will strengthen their collective presence across the region, delivering expanded audit, tax and advisory services supported by deeper industry expertise across a broader sector profile in construction, automotive, health care, credit unions and real estate.

John Rizzo, newly appointed managing principal of Doeren Mayhew’s New York region, will lead operations statewide, working closely with BLB CPAs’ leadership to ensure continuity, drive growth and support the long-term success of clients throughout the region. Uniquely, the combined leadership team includes more than 10 State University of New York at Fredonia graduates, creating a shared foundation and strong collaborative connection that unites the Fredonia and Rochester teams.
