Westfield Fund campaign gets underway
The Westfield Fund is pleased to announce the kickoff of the third annual 100-100-100 campaign and acknowledge this year’s grant recipients. The Westfield Fund is a Community Donor Advised Fund at the Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF), raising funds and awarding grants for projects and activities that enhance the quality of life in the Westfield community. All funds raised and awarded are administered by NCCF on behalf of The Westfield Fund for the sole purpose and benefit of the Westfield community. A committee of volunteers from the Westfield community considers grant applications and promotes the fund.
The 100-100-100 campaign, now in its third year, strives to encourage 100 donors to contribute $100 each in 100 days, for a total of $10,000 raised for The Westfield Fund. With the support and generosity of the community, this goal has been reached and exceeded each year of the campaign.
This year’s grant recipients, each receiving $600, are Centaur Stride, First Baptist Church Kids Closet, and Westfield Stray Cat Rescue. Since the inception of The Westfield Fund, almost $12,000 has been awarded in support of various projects and initiatives. Past recipients include Union Relief, Centaur Stride, Lake Shore Center for the Arts, YWCA Westfield, Northern Lake Recreation Center, Westfield Development Corporation, Westfield Stray Cat Rescue, and Every Child, Inc.
The Westfield Fund’s Advisory Committee is Alan Holbrook (Committee Chair), Martha Bills, Bob Dyment, John Hemmer, Marilyn Hemmer, Cristie Herbst, Deanne Manzella (Executive Committee), Rick Mascaro, Sue Poster (Secretary), Vinny Sanzo, Joel Seachrist, Ami VandeVelde, Mike VandeVelde (Vice-chair), Rachel Willow, and Rob Wilson. Pete Holt, Jean McCausland, Nancy Walker, and Rob Wilson make up the Grants Committee.
Please allow yourself to be inspired by the community’s generosity and the good work these organizations are doing in support of their missions.
