Hanover Town Board meeting today
HANOVER — The town board meeting that was listed for Monday has been changed to today. There’s a workshop scheduled for 6:30 p.m., at the Town Hall with a regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. followed by two public hearings.
LoGuidice Educational Center Open House set for Wednesday
Visit the full campus open house on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. to check out all of the program opportunities available at the LoGuidice Educational Center, 9520 Fredonia-Stockton Road. There will be a chicken barbecue for $10 to support Skills USA beginning at 4 p.m. until sold out. Learn more about the Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES’ Career & Technical Education programs, P-TECH, Special Education and more. Angola Village Board sets special meeting
The Angola Village Board has called for a special meeting today at 6:45 p.m. The meeting will be held at 41 Commercial St., Angola.
Hoyt Street in Dunkirk closed today
The City of Dunkirk Department of Public Works wishes to notify residents and motorists that Hoyt Street between Doughty Street and Benton Street will be closed to all traffic beginning at 7 a..m until approximately 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 10 to allow for the street to be paved. Residents are asked to move their vehicles ahead of the 7 a.m. start time.
Democratic Party
to host Meet and
Greet Oct. 13
On Friday, Oct. 13, the Fredonia-Pomfret Democratic Party will host a Meet and Greet for our Democratic candidates at the Fredonia Grange No. 1 on Main Street, Fredonia, from 5 until 7 p.m.
The purpose of the Meet and Greet is to give voters the chance to meet and speak with the Democratic candidates. On hand, there will be candidates for county, town and village elections as well as 2018 Congressional candidates.
It is important to know your candidates prior to an election. This is a great opportunity to get to know who best represents your goals for our region.
This get together is also a tailgate party for the Badger/Marauder Football game. Treats and drinks will be supplied for your enjoyment.

Narcotics Anonymous Group meets in Fredonia
The Narcotics Anonymous Group “Freedom in Fredonia” meets Thursdays at 7 p.m. at the Fredonia Presbyterian Church, 219 Central Ave. This is a closed group, for addicts only.
