Halloween in Forestville set

The Forestville Fall Festival Committee and The Forestville Fire Dept. are again planning Halloween in Forestville. The parade will take place at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, followed by refreshments at The Fire Hall. All area groups, organizations, families and classes are encouraged to show your spirit and enter a float in the parade. Floats will be judged at 5:30 p.m. on Park Street. All others line up at Methodist Church. Costumes will be judged at the Fire Hall directly after the parade.

Blossom Garden Friends School bake sale

The Blossom Garden Friends School will hold a bake sale on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at, Wal-Mart, 317 S. Cascade Drive, Springville. The event will take place weather permitting. For details, call the school at 532-1004.

Turkey Party planned for Saturday

The Brocton Fire Company will be holding its annual turkey party and Christmas cash raffle on Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brocton American Legion, 110 W. Main St., Brocton. There will be plenty of turkeys, hams, steaks, shrimp and a cash drawing along with door prizes. Free refreshments! Don’t forget to get the new Christmas cash raffle tickets for $5. There will be $2,000 in prize money! See any Brocton fireman or stop by the fire hall on a Tuesday from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Sheridan Memorial VFW Post No. 6390’s fall meat party set for Saturday

The Sheridan Memorial VFW Post No. 6390’s fall meat party will be held at the Post, 2556 Main Road, Silver Creek on Saturday at 5 p.m. There will be a variety of meats; Cash drawings; chance auction; and free refreshments, snacks and sandwiches. Theme baskets are requested for this fundraiser; all proceeds are earmarked for a new Point of Sale System for the Post. All are encouraged to help make this the best fundraiser this year.

Garden Club to meet Nov. 13

The Evans Garden Club will meet at 7 p.m., Nov. 13. The meeting will be held at the Angola Library, 34 N. Main St., Angola. The group will be decorating preordered, live wreaths from the R & J Christmas Tree Farm. Owners are Jerry and Kathie Saab, 1731 Gowans Road, Angola. If you have not pre-ordered, observers are welcome. Refreshments will be served.
