Presale tickets available for Legion Centennial Celebration

Dunkirk Memorial American Legion Post 62 will be hosting the American Legion’s 100th Anniversary centennial dinner for members and guests on Saturday, March 23. The event include appetizers, open bar, family-style dinner, short program and music by the John Cross Swingtime Band. Presale tickets are available now through March 8 for $30 (regular price is $35) at Post 62, 211 Central Avenue, Dunkirk. The reservation deadline is March 15.

“Freezin for a Reazen” cancer benefit Sunday

The Cherry Creek Sno-Goers in conjunction with Roswell Park Alliance Foundation are hosting “Freezin for a Reazen” to benefit cancer research on Sunday, March 3 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Cockaigne Resort, 1439 Thorton Road, Cherry Creek. The event includes a vintage snowmobile ride and show from 10 a.m. to noon, bikini top and costume parade from noon to 3 p.m., chance auctions, 50/50, big ticket raffles and more. Pomfret Zoning Board of Appeals hearing to reconvene Tuesday

Be advised that the Town of Pomfret Zoning Board of Appeals will reconvene on Tuesday, March 5 at 6:30 p.m. to continue deliberation of Hearing #01-19. This hearing will address the application from Andy Harris requesting a Special Use Permit for the purpose of operating a business of recycling auto parts and other metal at 9828 North Road, Fredonia, New York 14063.

Brocton planning workshop meetings

The Village of Brocton will temporarily be holding a regularly scheduled workshop meeting the first Wednesday of each month until further notice beginning March 6, 2019. This will be in addition to the already scheduled regular meetings that take place the third Wednesday of each month. Both meetings will be at Village Hall, 34 W. Main St. Brocton at 6:30p.m.

Sinclairville library announces musical jam sessions to start March 7

The Sinclairville Free Library invites the public to participate in a musical jam session on Thursday, March 7 from 5 to 7 p.m. Bring your voices and/or instruments as the library comes together to make music in the community. Audience members are also welcome. This program is free and open to all ages. Library Jam Sessions are scheduled for the first Thursday monthly from 5 to 7 p.m., with the exception of the 4th of July. The library is located at 15 Main St. in Sinclairville.
