Hanover sewer bills due

Hanover Town Clerk Janine L. Salzman is reminding Hanover sewer customers that the last day to pay sewer bills without penalty is Friday, June 7. Late payments will be charged an additional 10% penalty fee. Payments can be made at the town clerk’s office before 5 p.m.

Rabies clinic Saturday

The town of Portland is hosting a free rabies clinics on Saturday, June 8, from 2-5 p.m. at the Brocton Fire Hall, 80 Lake Ave., Brocton. Dogs must be on a leash; cats must be in a container. Animals must be three months old to get vaccinated. Bring previous vaccination record to get three-year vaccinations. New York state law requires cats, dogs and domesticated ferrets be vaccinated for rabies by age 4 months.

Westfield Village Board to meet

Notice is hereby provided that the Village of Westfield Board of Trustees will hold a public meeting on Thursday, June 6, at 6:30 p.m. in the North Room of Eason Hall.

Recreational pickleball

begins at Wright Park

Beginning Wednesday, June 5, weekly pickleball at Wright Park (recreational play) will take place at 6 p.m. Learn how to play if you don’t know how; equipment is available for beginners to use. Bring a chair and a water bottle.

40th reunion for the Dunkirk High School Class of 1979 planned

The plans for the 40th reunion for the Dunkirk High School Class of 1979 are now finalized for its upcoming class reunion.

Friday, July 5 is a Meet and Greet to be held at the American Legion Post #62 from 7 to 10 p.m. Pizza, wings and refreshments will be provided.

Saturday, July 6 is a dinner get-together being held at the Northern Conservation Club starting at 6 p.m.

If anyone is interested in attending both or one of these events, the committee urges you to send in your reservations by June 9.

Responses have been very slow and the event may have to be canceled if more classmates do not participate.

If anyone has any questions, they are asked to contact Amy Ahlstrom at 366-1106.

North Collins 5K and 1

Mile Family Fun Walk Saturday

Are you ready for a 5K Challenge? Do you want to improve your health, become stronger, and boost your confidence? YOU can do this!

The North Collins School Wellness Committee is hosting its first 5K and Family Fun Walk. Join them on Saturday, June 8 at 9 a.m. Register online at https://www.itsyourrace.com/event.aspx?id=11943. Registration fee for the 5K is $10 for students and $20 for adults. Registration for the 1 Mile Fun Walk is $5 for students, $10 for adults, and $20 for families. Registration begins at the Jr./Sr. High School, 2045 School St. at 7:30 a.m.

All participants are invited to a post race celebration at the high school featuring snacks, refreshments, music, and an awards ceremony. Join the North Collins community as we run (and walk) our way to good health.

Pine Valley to hold school board meetings

The Pine Valley Central School Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Wednesday, June 5 at 7 p.m. in the board room (elementary school room 11). It is anticipated that the board will go into executive session immediately to discuss matters relating to the process of hiring of a new superintendent of schools. There will be no action taken at this meeting.

A regular meeting of the Pine Valley Board of Education is scheduled for Thursday, June 6 at 7 p.m. in the same location.
