Dunkirk Town Board schedules workshop

The town board of the town of Dunkirk will hold a workshop on Thursday, Aug. 8, at 6 p.m. at the Town Hall, 4737 Willow Road. The purpose of the workshop is to meet with emergency services and town fire departments to discuss ambulance services for the town.

Fredonia cancels brush pick up for August

The Fredonia Department of Public Works has announced that brush pick up is cancelled for August. They remind residents that they will be cited for leaving brush out.

Evans Garden Club excursion planned

The Evans Garden Club will meet Aug. 13 at 7 p.m. The location of the meeting will be Lasting Dreams Day Lily Farm, 6425 South Abbott Road, Orchard Park. A presentation will be given by Anthony and Carol Haj, the owners of the day lily farm. Over 500 varieties of day lilies are planted for your viewing pleasure. You may purchase any that strike your fancy that evening. Wear comfortable shoes so you can walk through the beautiful gardens. If you would like to car pool, meet in the public parking lot across the street from the library by 6 p.m.

Land Bank board meeting set for Aug. 14

The Chautauqua County Land Bank Corporation (CCLBC) will hold its monthly board meeting at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 14 at the Fredonia Technology Incubator, in the Main Conference Room.

These meetings of the CCLBC are conducted to discuss business associated with the acquisition and potential sale of property by CCLBC and other official business as required (agendas will be provided at the meetings). Coffee with Landis set for Wednesday

Coffee with Fredonia Mayor Athanasia Landis will take place Wednesday, Aug. 7 at 9 a.m. in the Village Hall, 9-11 Church St., Fredonia.
