Parks Commission to meet today

The Chautauqua County Parks Commission will hold its monthly meeting at Luensman Park at 4 p.m. today, Aug. 22. The public is invited to attend.

Fly tying/fly fishing classes begin Tuesday, Aug. 27

The Children in the Stream/4H Youth Fly Fishing Program will open its 21th season on Tuesday, Aug. 27. The fly tying/ fly fishing classes will occur every Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Costello Room in the Rockefeller Art Center at the State University of New York at Fredonia. Note that this is a change in meeting days that the classes will be meeting.

Field trips are also scheduled periodically throughout the fall and spring, with brook trout stocking occurring in October.

The program is open to children over 12 and community members of all ages and is provided at no cost. provided Everything needed is provided … just show up. No long-term commitment needed.
