Village of South Dayton Library news

The Village of South Dayton Library, located at 17 Park St., South Dayton has announced various activities on Thursday evenings from 5 to 7 p.m. throughout October. All ages are welcome. Children 6 years of age and younger must be accompanied by an adult. Dinner will be available from 5 to 5:30 p.m. at a cost of $2 per plate.

Remaining programs include: Oct. 15, various Halloween crafts. Dinner will be tacos in a bag. Oct. 22: Halloween-themed movie (to be determined). Dinner will be pizza, carrots and celery. Activities for Oct. 29 will be Kids’ Choice. Dinner will be goulash, garlic bread and salad.

The library is open Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. to noon and 5 to 7 p.m.; Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; Thursdays 9:30 a.m. to noon and Saturdays 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. The phone number is 988-3833.

Sinclairville Free Library’s annual book sale

The Sinclairville Free Library’s annual book sale will be held on today, Oct. 10 from 2 to 7 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with a bag sale Saturday, Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The library is accepting new and gently used books, audio books and DVDs in good condition. The library is not accepting encyclopedias, textbooks, magazines or Reader’s Digest condensed novels. Donations can be brought to the library during regular business hours. Hanover/Forestville water/sewer last payment day is Oct.18

Town of Hanover water and sewer customers, and Forestville water customers, are notified that Oct. 18, 2019 is the last day for payment of any outstanding water and sewer bills. Any unpaid accounts will be forwarded to Chautauqua County to be added to their 2020 town/county taxes. Payment can be made at the Hanover Town Hall, 68 Hanover Street, Silver Creek, during normal business hours.
