Boy Scouts to sell wreaths Saturday

Fredonia Boy Scout Troop 267 is selling evergreen wreaths in Barker Common on Saturday, Dec. 7, beginning at 10 a.m.

Cassadaga’s Light Up Celebration Saturday

Cassadaga’s Second Annual Light Up Celebration will be held on Saturday, Dec. 7. A community Carol Sing is planned for 2 p.m. in the Village Community Center on Mill Street. Santa arrives by fire truck at the Village Common (corner Route 60 and Maple Avenue) at 3 p.m. He will greet all with hot chocolate and a gift until 5 p.m. Crafts, cookies and free books will be available at the Cassadaga Branch Library on Maple Avenue from 3 to 5. The lighting up of the Village Common will be held at 5 p.m. with carols and a Remembrance Tree ceremony. All are welcome to kick off the holidays with these free events. Questions? Call 384-4023.

Holiday Shopping Extravaganza Saturday

Toys For Tots annual Holiday Shopping Extravaganza will take place Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at The Resource Center, 200 Dunham Ave., Celoron. Park in the rear lot on Allegheny Avenue. The event will feature local crafters and vendors, prize drawings and food will be available for purchase.

Proceeds benefit the Marine Toys for Tots drive and will be used to support local families.

There will be a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Portland, Pomfret, Dunkirk Sewer District at 3 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 9. The meeting will be held at the Town of Dunkirk meeting room on Willow Road in the Town of Dunkirk. This meeting is open to the public.
