Access Chautauqua lists programming

“Chautauqua Sunrise,” hosted by Doc Hamels, will have guest Michele Starwalt with the topic “Rotary in our county.” The program airs live at 9 a.m. on Saturday only, then repeats at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.

“Fresh Perspectives,” hosted by Gail Erb, will feature Colleen Vanderzyden, Mediumship. The program is at 3 p.m. and 9 p.m.

Repeat programming is typically re-aired throughout the week at other various time slots.

All programming starts on Saturday, Feb. 1 with the final airing on Friday, Feb. 7.

Access Chautauqua, formerly Access Channel 5, is available to cable viewers in the Chautauqua, Mayville, North Harmony, Portland, Ripley, Sherman, and Westfield areas, and can be found on cable channel 1301.

The programs may also be viewed after the initial airing at the station’s web site https://accesschautauquacountytv.org.

Pickleball beginner class scheduled Feb. 3

The next pickleball beginner class will be held Monday, Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. at St. Anthony’s gym, 66 Cushing St., Fredonia. The class is free. No experience is necessary. Equipment is provided. Each participant only needs to bring sneakers and something to re-hydrate with. The class holds 12 players. Registration is required. Call Ed Kirchmeyer at 432-6116 for details.

Fredonia Board of Education changes time for meeting

The Fredonia Board of Education will hold a regular meeting Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 5:30 p.m. in the high school library. Please note this is a time change from the board’s typical schedule.

Community Ukulele Jam Session Friday

A Community Ukulele Jam Session will take place Friday, Jan. 31 in the Costello Community Room, SUNY Fredonia. The schedule is: beginners and “brush-up” from 6 to 6:30 p.m., then a jam session for all from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Everyone is welcome, regardless of experience. Don’t have a ukulele? There are extras. Come for a community strum-a-long. The goal is to have fun and to make music. Questions? Contact Jill Reese at reese@fredonia.edu. This is a free event. This month, the jam will take place on the fourth Friday instead of the last Friday due to the holiday.
