‘City Speaks’ guest is county executive
“City Speaks” is honored to have Chautauqua County Executive PJ Wendel as this week’s guest. Get to know our new county executive as he gives us an insight to his vision for our county.
“City Speaks” is a show that provides our residents with insight into the happenings around the city and within Mayor Wilfred Rosas’ administration. It can be viewed in Dunkirk daily on Spectrum 1301 at 3 and 10 p.m., or by going to www.dunkirkaccess.com and viewing it on YouTube at your convenience.
Fredonia Farmers’ Market news
This week at the Fredonia Farmers’ Market starting at 11 a.m., organizers will be making a video to promote the FFM. The video will be submitted with FFM’s application for inclusion in the Small Business Revolution program. The video will also be used on the Market’s Facebook page and website.
The FFM encourages all its customers and friends to visit on Saturday, Feb. 1 and take part! Comments and input in the video can help the Market let the public see who it is and what it offers.
During the winter months, the Fredonia Farmers’ Market is located at the Masonic Forest Lodge, 321 E Main St., Fredonia and is open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Sip & Sample chili cook-off to benefit Grape Discovery Center
WESTFIELD — The Grape Discovery Center in Westfield will host a Sip & Sample event on Saturday, Feb. 1 from 1 to 4 p.m. The Center is located at 8305 West Main St. in Westfield.
The event will feature a friendly competition between past and present board members to see who can make the best chili. A couple of guest chili-makers will be on hand to add to the fun.
Along with tasting the variety of chilis, enjoy samples from Liberty Vineyards & Winery, Mazza Chautauqua Cellars, Sparkling Ponds Winery, Willow Creek Winery and Five & 20 Spirits and Brewing. Live music will be provided by Tim Bartlett Acoustic.
And, YOU be the judge! Your ticket entitles you to vote for your favorite chili.
