Lakeshore Humane Society to hold spaghetti dinner fundraiser

The Lakeshore Humane Society will hold its annual Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser on Tuesday, Feb. 25 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Blessed Mary Angela Parish Social Center (St. Hedwig’s), 324 Townsend St. in Dunkirk. The menu is spaghetti, meatballs, Italian bread, tossed salad, homemade cake, and beverage. Dinners are $10. Take-outs will be available.

The event will also include basket drawing and a 50/50 drawing, and will have a Mardi Gras theme.

This dinner tends to sell-out, so get your tickets early. Tickets are available at the LHS Adoption Center (431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk) or from LHS members.

Come to a delicious dinner, while helping animals in need of homes in our area.

Dunkirk Memorial American Legion Post 62 news

New beginner line dance classes on Monday, from 6 to 7 p.m. Dunkirk Memorial American Legion Post 62, 211 Central Ave. Learn the basic steps and put them to music and dance within 10 minutes. This is a great way to make new brain pathways and to exercise at the same time. Dance to all types of music, from country to classic to current pop tunes. A donation of $5 for each class of which a portion benefits Legion programs. For more information, call Connie at 673-1438.

Advanced beginner line dance lessons are held every Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. followed by Intermediate advanced line dance lessons from 7:30 to 9 p.m. A donation of $5 for each class of which a portion benefits Legion programs. For more information, call Connie at 673-1438.
