Brooks discusses screening and entry

As the Brooks-TLC’s Emergency Preparedness team continues meeting daily to assess COVID-19 developments in our community, until further notice, everyone, including employees, outpatients, visitors, medical staff, and vendors entering the hospital will be screened for respiratory symptoms and fever at the outpatient entrance at the front of Brooks Memorial Hospital.

Please plan to arrive early for your appointment, shift, meeting, etc. as there may be lines at the door.

Emergency Department patients should continue entering at the emergency department door.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation as we work to protect the health and safety of our community members.

Ripley using Facebook page

The town of Ripley would like to announce that it has a Facebook page called “Town of Ripley NY.” The deputy town clerk posts on the page. The town is working on upgrading its website but for now Facebook is the best site to get the latest news.

Fredonia Village Board will meet Monday, closed to the public.

In a notice sent to the OBSERVER on Friday, clerk Annemarie Johnston noted that due to the coronavirus, “the village of Fredonia Board of Trustees Meeting scheduled for March 23, 2020, will be held electronically via video conference instead of a public meeting open for the public to attend in person. Members of the public may view the Board meeting through Spectrum Cable TV (channel 1301). Also available is the live stream on YouTube. The meeting will be transcribed and posted on the Village of Fredonia website.”

Any member of the public wishing to comment, Johnston notes, shall submit public comments by email to: fredoniavillageclerk@netsync.net, no later than 4 p.m. Monday. Such comments will be read during the” public portion” of the teleconference. “I will ask that the comments refrain from remarks that are in poor taste, slanderous, or not germane to any action taken or contemplated by the board,” the notice stated.

Board meetings begin at 6:30 p.m.
