Dunkirk Town Board workshop Thursday

The Dunkirk Town Board will hold a workshop on Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Dunkirk Town Hall, 4737 Willow Road, to begin review of the employee handbook.

IDA, Economic Development Council meetings cancelled

The Chautauqua County IDA and Chautauqua Region Economic Development Council meetings scheduled for today have been cancelled.

Prevention Works rescheduled for Thursday

Prevention Works, formerly known as the Chautauqua Alcohol and Substance Abuse Council, has rescheduled its fundraising barbecue for Thursday, Aug. 27, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Econo Lodge on Bennett Road in Fredonia. Tickets are $12, and will include a Chiavetta’s chicken dinner, two sides, a dinner roll and desert. The event will be drive-through and takeout only, and will help support increased social and emotional learning and intervention programs for area youth. Tickets previously purchased for the March 31 event can be used, and can also be found at eventbrite.com/e/prevention-works-chiavettas-chicken-bbq-north-county-tickets-112860390466.

Parks Commission meets Thursday

The Chautauqua County Parks Commission will hold its monthly meeting via Zoom on Thursday at 4 p.m. The meeting will be live streamed on the Chautauqua County Government Facebook page. To be included in the meeting, email judithhunt1@aolcom for the link.
