The Portland Planning Board meeting that was originally scheduled for today has been cancelled.

Cassadaga Valley School Board workshop set for Wednesday

There will be a special workshop meeting of the Cassadaga Valley Central School District Board of Education on Wednesday starting at 7 p.m. in the Middle/Senior High School Multi-Purpose Room. The purpose of this meeting is for the Board to discuss board goals for the 2020-2021 school year. Social distancing will be enforced.

Westfield Town Board to meet today

The Town of Westfield is having a budget workshop to review the tentative budget for 2021 and anything that may come before the board. The meeting will take place today at 4 p.m. at Eason Hall.

Borrello, Schmidt featured guests at TEA Party Patriots meeting tonight

State Sen. George Borrello, R-Sunset Bay, and Jason Schmidt, candidate for Chautauqua County District Attorney, will be the featured guests at the monthly meeting of the Southern Tier TEA Party Patriots on Tuesday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m. at the Lakewoood American Legion, 174 Chautauqua Ave. Borello will address the effects of the lockdown by Gov. Andrew Cuomo as well as his continued use of emergency powers over the state. Schmidt will be sharing his vision and views as candidate for district attorney. Also, County Executive PJ Wendel will be in attendance to address the group. A PragerU video will be shown on “How to Steal An Election: Mail-In Voting.” All are welcome to come, but COVID requirements must be observed by wearing a mask entering and exiting the building and being seated according to the set up in the legion.

Portland church sets Oct. 28 dinner

PORTLAND — A drive-through chicken and biscuit dinner will be Wednesday, Oct. 28 from 5 to 7 p.m. or sold out. Menu includes chicken and biscuits with gravy, mashed potatoes, vegetable, salad and beverage. Adults are $9 and children 10 and under are $6.
