Support Audubon with your online book purchases

The Audubon Community Nature Center’s Blue Heron Gift Shop is now an affiliate of Bookshop.org.

The website that benefits independent booksellers and nonprofits has thousands of titles available to ship direct from the warehouse. Audubon receives 10% of the sale of any book purchased while in the online Blue Heron Gift Shop “Bookshop,” whether from the ACNC suggested lists or a shopper’s own title searches.

When one visits Bookshop.org/shop/BlueHeronGiftShop, they will immediately see a selection of books recommended by Audubon Community Nature Center staff. These include nature educator picks, favorite field guides, outdoor nature play books, nature-themed pictures books for ages 5 and up and pre-kindergarten to second grade (ages 2-7), natural history and nature interests, gardening books, arts and crafts and journaling, nature writing and essays, and puzzles, cards, kids coloring and activity books.

While Audubon receives more when items are purchased in person, Audubon officials said online sales are still helpful.

The Audubon Community Nature Center is located at 1600 Riverside Road, one-quarter mile east of Route 62 between Jamestown and Warren. The first floor of the Nature Center building, including the Blue Heron Gift Shop, is open to the public Mondays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Because not all of the building is accessible, admission is by donation only.
