Recycling pickup delayed in city

Because of continuing high winds, Dunkirk Mayor Wilfred Rosas reminds residents to secure their recyclables with a heavy lidded container at the curb Monday or hold them until the next pickup in two weeks.

The City Streets Division was out late removing downed trees and identifying flood damage with police and fire officers. Those assessments and responses will continue today and during the continuing winds. Citizen patience and avoiding driving in hazardous areas will assist the storm response. All city officials thank residents for their commitment to safety during severe weather events.
