Winter storm watch

A winter storm watch begins Thursday evening and lasts through Saturday afternoon, the National Weather Service in Buffalo reported. The watch includes Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, Erie, Genesee and Wyoming counties. Total snow accumulations of more than 9 inches possible in the most persistent lake snows. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. “Travel could be very difficult to impossible,” the weather service said. “The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. … Narrow bands of heavy snow could impact portions of the region. Localized travel problems will be possible.”

Collins 50 Plus Seniors events

COLLINS — The Collins 50 Plus Seniors will have pickleball at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 27, and 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, in the L.K. Painter Center gym. Most Collins 50 Plus Seniors programs will be closed from Dec. 24 through Jan. 3, with the exception of pickle Ball. All Programs will resume on Monday, Jan. 4.

Christmas Eve Mass

First United Presbyterian Church, 35 Park Place, Silver Creek, will host Christmas Eve Mass at 7 p.m.
