Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association annual plow day demonstration — The Chautauqua County Antique Equipment Association will host its annual plow day beginning around 8 a.m. Members of the public may pull off to the side of the road and stay in their vehicles to observe the event, which is held at Route 380 and Pierson Road, Stockton. Spectators who exit their vehicles must follow social distancing guidelines.

SUNDAY, MAY 9

South Dayton Volunteer Fire Company Mother’s Day Chiavetta’s chicken barbecue — The South Dayton Volunteer Fire Company will hold its annual Mother’s Day Chiavetta chicken barbecue at its Activities Hall. The dinner costs $11. It is drive-through-only from 11:30 a.m. until sold out. With questions, call 988-5035.

Forestville United Methodist Church Mother’s Day chicken barbecue — Forestville United Methodist Church, 3 Park St., will hold its annual barbecue from noon until sold out. Adult dinners (¢ chicken and sides) only, $12 each. Drive through service only. Drive up in front of church for delivery to car. Call 965-2506 for details.

Gowanda Loyal Order of Moose Silly/Ugly Hat Day — The Gowanda Loyal Order of Moose, located at 201 Aldrich St., Gowanda, will hold a Silly/Ugly Hat Day from 5 to 8 p.m. A fish fry and full menu will be available. Win prizes for silly/ugly hats. Donations benefit kids at the Mooseheart NY Home.

Cassadaga Memorial Legion Auxiliary annual rummage sale — Cassadaga Memorial Legion Auxiliary will hold its annual rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Post home on Maple Avenue in Cassadaga. A bag sale starts at 1 p.m. Patrons are asked to practice social distancing and wear a mask while inside shopping.

St. John’s United Church of Christ turkey dinner — St. John’s UCC, 738 Central Ave., Dunkirk, will hold a turkey dinner, presale only. Tickets are $11 each. Order by May 7, at 366-0710. Dinners are take-out only. Pick up between 4:30 and 6 p.m. Enter the church parking lot on Eagle Street.

Revitalize Dunkirk’s third annual plant sale — Revitalize Dunkirk’s third annual plant sale will take place Saturday, May 22 from 10 a.m. to noon, behind the Fredonia Technology Incubator, 214 Central Ave., Dunkirk. Enter the parking lot from Washington Avenue. There will be hundreds of perennial plant divisions from members’ gardens, most priced between one and ten dollars.
