The Blessed Mary Angela Holy Name Society will host an indoor flea market from 9 a.m. to noon at the Parish Social Center, 324 Townsend St., Dunkirk. Masks MUST be worn. Social distancing will be practiced. For details, call Tony at 467-0891.

St. John’s United Church of Christ hot dog lunch

St. John’s United Church of Christ will hold a hot dog lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 733 Central Ave., Dunkirk. Meals will include a hot dog, chips, and soda for just $3.

Brocton library book sale

The Ahira Hall Memorial Library, 37 W. Main St., Brocton is holding a book sale from 1 to 5 p.m. Hardcovers are $1, paperbacks are 50 cents, DVDs are $1 and children’s books are 25 cents. Call 792-9418 for details. Sales go directly to the library’s operating fund.

Central Connection

bicycle ride

At 10 a.m., members of the public are invited to meet on Day Street in Fredonia to bicycle down Central Avenue to the Dunkirk Pier. The street will be blocked off for riders’ safety. The event is free, with no registration necessary. Riders can go at their own pace and exit at any time. All ages and levels of experience are welcome. The Central Connection bicycle ride is a “slow roll” event.

Westfield Farmers’ Market

The Westfield Farmers and Artisans Market is from 9 a.m. to 2 p .m. at Moore P ark, 23 Elm St., Westfield. Shoppers find locally grown produce, meats, jarred products, baked goods, arts, crafts, published literary works by local authors. Prepared foods and beverages available. Audubon Dragons and Fairies Festival

Bring your imagination to life at Audubon during the Dragons and Fairies Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Enjoy a series of guided and self-guided activities all about the magical creatures who call nature their home. The popular Dragon Egg Hunt, kids’ archery station, and Craft Cove return, joined by a new Challenge Treasure Hunt, Fantasy Obstacle Course, and Fairy Friends Scavenger Hunt. Food, vendors, and photo opportunities will be available, and details will be on the website. Costs are $8 adults, $ 6 Nature Center members, $6 children 3 to 15 and free for ages 2 and under, Paid reservations are required by June 18. The Audubon Community Nature Center is located at 1600 Riverside Road, Jamestown.

Fredonia Farmers’ Market

The Fredonia Farmers’ Market is held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. mid-May through October on Church Street in downtown Fredonia. It features a variety of vendors, with special events TBA. See the Fredonia Farmers’ Market FaceBook page for updates.

Jamestown Public Market

Fredonia Food pantry

The Fredonia Food Pantry will be open from 10 a,m. To noon at Fredonia Presbyterian Church, 219 Central Ave. The pantry serves the needs of residents of ZIP code 14063. One or more bags of non-perishable food are given out depending on family size.

Juneteenth Festival

Juneteenth is celebrated in the city of Dunkirk at Memorial Park on Lake Shore Drive from noon to 8 p.m. There will be contests, educational stations, presentations and activities including a Juneteenth basket giveaway drawing. Performances include: 3 p.m. – Pure Ink Poetry Slam; 4:30 p.m. – One World Tribe of Erie; 6 p.m. – Familiar Spirit of Erie and a movie in the park at dusk.
