The Dunkirk Farmers' Market is held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the corner of Ruggles Street and Cliffstar Court at the Dunkirk Senior Center. It features local farmers and artisans.
Angola Summer Lawn Chair Concert
The Angola Park and Gazebo Committee and the Village of Angola present a concert in Centennial Park, Angola from 7 to 9 p.m. Refreshments are available from the Evans Township Lions Club. The use of masks and social distancing is encouraged. Tonight features the Erie County Wind Ensemble: a forty member professional group, playing a wide variety of music. The event is sponsored by Schultz & Company - General hardware, paints, plumbing, electrical, heating, garden supplies, and Amana, Crosley and Speed Queen appliances. It is Angola's oldest business, founded in 1861.

Mayville's Farmers' Market
Mayville Farmers' and Artisans' Market is held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Mayville Village Park, at the traffic light at Route 394 and Route 430, Mayville. It features farmers and artisans, with special events TBA.
City sculpture unveiling
An event to unveil and celebrate original public art will take place at 5 p.m. at the front lawn of the Dunkirk public library, 536 Central Ave., Dunkirk.
Music on the Pier concert
A concert in the "Music on the Pier" concert series in Dunkirk features Rock the Cradle from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and The Rising from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The event is free to the public. Ice chests are allowed.
Ahira Memorial Library's Concert in the Park
The Untouchables will perform at 6:30 p.m. at Ryckman Park in Brocton.
Lakewood concert
The Live on the Lake concert series continues with Marty's Bubblegum Machine from 6:30 to 7:30 p .m. at Richard O. Hartley Park, Terrace and Chautauqua avenues, Lakewood. St. John's United Church of Christ hot dog lunch
St. John's United Church of Christ will hold a hot dog lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 733 Central Ave., Dunkirk. Meals will include a hot dog, chips, and soda for just $3.
St. Paul Lutheran Church Weidner chicken barbecue
St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 223 Temple St., Fredonia, will hold its annual drive-through chicken barbecue from 4 to 7 p.m. or until sold out. Dinners are $12 each.

Dunkirk Fredonia Lions Club golf tournament
Registration begins at 8 a.m. for the Dunkirk Fredonia Lions Club initial golf tournament, to be held at the Vineyards Golf Course in Fredonia. The start time is 9 a.m. There will be prizes, basket raffles and 50/50 raffles. The $70 cost per person includes 18 holes of golf with a cart, hot dogs and beverages at the turn and dinner at the curse catered by Super Duper Catering. There will be a hol-in-one contest with the winning prize of a new car sponsored by Basil Family Dealership in Fredonia. This New York City-style flea market begins at 8 a.m. in Moore Park with a focus on vintage and antique goods along with fashion clothing.

Audubon Little Explorers program – "Plants and People"
Children ages 3 to 8 are invited to attend with an adult from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the Audubon Community Nature Center, 1600 Riverside Road, Jamestown. The costs are $8 for adults, $6 for members and children 3 to 8. Paid reservations are required by Aug. 12.
Cassadaga Kids Triathlon

The 1891 Fredonia Opera House will present the movie "12 MIGHTY ORPHANS" at 7:30 p.m., starring Luke Wilson. It tells the true story of the Mighty Mites, the football team of a Fort Worth orphanage who, during the Great Depression, went from playing without shoes – or even a football – to playing for the Texas state championships. Tickets are $7 for adults, $6.50 for Opera House members/seniors, $5 for students, and sold at the door only. Unvaccinated individuals are required to follow CDC guidelines which call for masks to be worn at indoor events and social distancing to be maintained. ANY individual, can, of course, choose to wear a mask at his/her own discretion.

Bingo will take place at St. Joseph's parish, 145 E. Main St., Fredonia. Doors open at 5 p.m.; bingo begins at 7. Masks should be worn by those not vaccinated and social distancing will be observed.
Silver Creek Music in the Park
