SUNY retirees plan gathering

The SUNY Fredonia Retired Secretarial/Clerical Group will be gathering Wednesday, July 20 at 3 p.m. at 21 Brix Winery at 6654 W. Main Road. Portland.

Fredonia pantry open July 16

On Saturday, July 16, the Fredonia Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon at Fredonia Presbyterian Church at 219 Central Ave. The pantry serves the needs of residents of Fredonia, area code 14063, Pomfret, Sheridan, and Laona. All guests receive one or more bags of non-perishable food. Number of bags given out depends on family size.

Sheridan groups holding open house

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan Historical Society will hold an open house Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The building, located at Route 20 and Center Road, is filled with two stories of local historical artifacts to explore. Members will be on hand to inform and guide. During the summer months, an open house is held on the second Saturday of the month. Tours may be scheduled by appointment by calling 716-673-1822.

Concert series begins Thursday
