Chicken and biscuit dinner Saturday
There will be a bake sale and chicken and biscuit dinner on Saturday sponsored by the Blessed Mary Angela Fatima and Holy Name Societies at the St. Hyacinth Lyceum on Lake Shore Drive and Pangolin Street.
Dinners will be served from 4:30 to 6 p.m. or until sold out. a tickets will be available at the door for a $15 donation each or two dinners for $25.
Blessed Mary Aangela is a member of the Southern Tier "Family 3" of the Diocese of Buffalo which includes Holy Trinity Church, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, St. Joseph's and St. Anthony's Churches along with St. Rose of Lima and Mount Carmel Churches.
All proceeds from this event will be used for needed repairs and supplies at the Blessed Mary Angela Parish, which include St. Hyacinth and St. Hedwig Churches.

explains sign policy
The Chautauqua Rails to Trails recently posted a clarification of the organization's sign policy.
The policy is to assure proper posting of permanent and temporary signs on land owned by Chautauqua Rails to Trails, inc.
Any and all signage on Chautauqua Rails to Trails property must be either erected by or approved by Chautauqua Rails to Trails. This includes any directional, informational, and historical signage, including those commonly referred to as "posted" signs. Chautauqua Rails to Trails reserves the right to remove any sign not approved nor erected by Chautauqua Rails to Trails. It should be noted that Chautauqua Rails to Trails in many instances owns the property adjacent to its trails.
If an individual or group would like to post permanent or temporary signs, a request must be made to the Chautauqua Rails to Trails Board of Directors prior to being posted.

GOWANDA -- The annual meeting of Gowanda Pine Hill Cemetery is Saturday, May 20, at 10 a.m. at the cemetery. The rain location is the Gowanda Municipal Building, 27 East Main St. All lot owners and the public are invited.
